February 6th to February 10th 2012.

Winding down week this week as having a week break from learning over the half term week.

He stayed over another home schooled friends house Sunday till Tuesday so I had him back at home group were he did African Drumming. In the week we also went to the golf range, did Geography about New Zealand as it was Waitangi day on the Monday, Science and some Maori art, did some writing work about his trip to the fire station with his friend and also did his silver arts award work and also watched a few 'how its made' programmes.

January 30th to February 3rd 2012.

Been a flexi week this week, nothing set to any particular day except Tuesday which is Home Ed Group day....African Drums and Aborigine hand painting and boomerangs, bit of persuasive writing work, Geography work about Australia.....last week had two events....Chinese New Year and Australia day.....so we carried the Australian theme over for this week but rather than modern White Australia he learnt about the Native Australian Aborigines, their food, musical instruments and art. He did some Science work and continued his history about Victorians. He did a project about Robins. Cookery was Lamingtons and Damper bread. Art was to make a digeredoo with an Aborigine design. Silver Arts award he learnt all about the camera settings and what they all do so that he is able to know what to do for the rest of his work.

January 23rd to 27th 2012.

Monday we went to golf first thing then when we got back J did some Science and some Geography.

Tuesday was home ed group and African Drumming and Chinese New Year day.

Wednesday was English,  History and lots of incidental learning about different animals he saw in the animal planet mag.

Thursday was meant to be golf but it was raining so we went to the range and then when he got back he did an ICT power-point about China...the whole week has been about China as it was the Chinese New Year on Monday. Then it was cookery and he made Chinese Garlic Chicken, really tasty.

Friday he did some reading and then some persuasive writing work, Art was to find a famous Chinese artist and make a copy of one of their pictures. Then he did week two of his silver arts award.

January 16th to 20th 2012.

Monday was an easy day as he had a horrendous weekend with his tourettes being so bad so we just went to play golf.

Tuesday was home ed group, Jordan started his silver arts award.....he has a blog too if anyone wants to follow him let me know. African drumming was also at home ed group.

Wednesday morning he did some English all about Martin Luther King as it was M.L.K. day this week and some Geography which was all about the 'Deep South' and the history of it. Then we did cookery and made Mississippi mud pie.

Thursday morning he did some ICT work and did a power-point presentation about Ancient Egypt then in the afternoon made a start on his silver arts award.

Today was English and started a new book, another by Micheal Morpurgo, then some Science and a project about 'Famous Black Activists'.

This evening he is out with church youth at bowling.

January 9th thru 13th 2012.

Had a lovely xmas break time, back to learning now.

Monday we had English, Maths, Science and Art.....his Art was awesome....he designed a calender and also a Van Gogh style photo.

Tuesday was home ed group, J decided to go to see the careers advisor tho not sure what she made of his job choices lol.

Wednesday was English, Maths, Geography about Italy and then cookery....Italy this week so made pizza.

The pizza was part of a science type project as he now has to design his own using the basic one and change it.

Thursday was meant to be golf but couldn't go so English, Maths and 'J led lessons'.

Friday was a trip to the cinema to watch War Horse, he read the book for learning so went to see the film.

Dec 5th till Dec 13th.

Winding down now in readyness for Xmas so had lots of envelopes with worksheets in them and he has worked his way thru them doing whichever bit interests him on whichever day. Made the most of the only dry day and went to play some golf.

Dec 3rd n 4th.

Presentation night up the golf club for the juniors and the Xmas party the day after....only stayed for an hour of the party tho.
