Sept 17th thru Oct 5th 2012.

Oooops been lax on this blog of late.

Week one consisted of lots of Math doing volume and time. English included reading and story writing. Geography was weather and the climate effect, History was WW2 shelters, Science was sound and also magnets. Cookery was from Turkey and he also made a travel pamphlet for Turkey. He also had audiology this week n they finally fitted him with a hearing aid, albeit he needs two but one is better than nothing. And of course the usual golf and also a day out down Merthyr Mawr sand-dunes  He was also on telly briefly when the Disabled British Open aired on Sky sports.

Week two Math covered analogue and digital time and mass. English was more reading and imaginative story writing and then homophones. Geography was clouds and cloud form. Science was magnets, liquids n solids etc and electric currents, History was he last WW2 piece about kids in various WW2 countries and also Rhondda during WW2. For cookery he made Nigella Lawsons Mother in laws Madeira Cake. He also had camhs and podiatry appointments this week as well and obviously played golf. We didn't do any learning on the Friday as my Nan passed away Thursday.

This week has not been quite so structured as feeling delicate after the loss of my Nan. Math was still mass. English was reading. The rest was lap-books ...were have these been all our home ed time!!??!! They can cover Math, English, Geog, Art...pretty much everything. He did a few mini ones like about Mountains, Wales and Beaches and also started a big one which is his history project about the Romans. He also did a practice round at Rhondda golf club ready for a competition next week. He topped it off by going to his friends party last night.
