Wednesday 29th June.

Started with English work and a fact based comprehension type work all about April fools day and its origins which J enjoy learning about. Did the usual maths then took the dog for a nice long walk to get some fresh air.

History and we did more work on the Native Indians.....got an Extreme Makeover recorded aswell to watch cos its on a Navajo reservation. PE then so went up to play golf.

Tuesday 28th June.

Home ed group today :) J wasn't on form today for some reason.... didn't want to make gingerbread men even. He was really chuffed when one of the ladies that runs the group asked him to show a new family around. He spent most of the time outside playing with the lads and even ventured to the woods which is a first!

Toward the end tho the sun n running round and sensory overload got a bit much and he had the beginnings of a migraine and was heading towards meltdown so we left then and he had a few hours dosed up cwtched on the sofa.

Monday 27th June.

Did the usual English and maths work then Geography....last week we cooked from Australia so J did research and work on Australia and also about the town that his pen-pals come from, we also watched Tony Robinsons new programme about the history of Australia.

 Didn't do art this week as we went up to golf instead to make the most of the sunny weather.

Sat + Sun 25th n 26th June. Science at breakfast and the golf bug attacks.

Hammering down Saturday n golf was up the range so J didnt want to go as it is too noisy and busy etc so we went for a breakie in Morrisons and ended up talking science over breakfast....J wanted to know about electricity and how it travels through a house. Went to play golf in the afternoon at a different range.

Sunday was Sunday school then up golf again in the afternoon as it was so nice...but the golf bug has bitten so now im learning too hehe.

Friday 24th June.

Kinda go with the flow, lessons get done when they are done day today, as it usually is on a Friday. English was based on countries in the news last night and some work in his book plus we did some more reading from his current book.....

After maths J decided he wanted to do some photography and did some macro work and some self portrait work.

Dog walk at lunch time, its so nice because its the only time he will go out round here cos of all the bullies but when they are all at school he can come out n walk the dog n play n be himself.

Science was ummm interesting....did some 'J led work' about ducks and why they sleep with their heads on their backs but then he wanted to know how they mate lol. Managed to cover it with a few laughs along the way. Learnt about hippos and birds of prey aswel. Then  he did his ICT/Project work....this week its about Golf and he does his own biography about him and his game etc and also about his fav golfer plus he designs a 9 hole course and a poster to advertise a golf event.......this starts in ICT but he also does it over the weekend aswell.

Thursday 23rd June.

Decided to be a bit relaxed today so did work sat comfy on the sofa cos he was quite hyper so no chance of getting him to sit at a table. More English and Native Indian work today then took the dog for a nice walk n let him burn off some steam and then he borrowed my camera to take some macro photos that he wants to work on for art..... funny how he used to call me random for doing macro photos but he loves it now lol. Cookery then and we did Australia......Anzac Biscuits.....wow they are lethal if you are on a diet.....far too tasty and moreish lol.

Wednesday 23rd June.

Did the usual Maths n English tho English was in a book id picked up at the home ed group and he really enjoyed that. Then it was history so we continued learning about Native Indians. Then P.E. up the 9 hole course.....practiced his chipping first then did 9 holes....I was a bit naughty and put him off a bit cos I tried a hole even tho I dont play....I birdied it lol......J also got a birdie but on another hole.

Went shopping in the evening then so plenty of incidental learning for J.

Tuesday 21st June.

Home ed group today......its a fantastic group all friendly and welcoming....only place I know were J relaxes and is himself. Picked up a few workbooks from their which are handy for lessons, gonna use one tomorrow for English. In the evening it was golf for J n parents meeting for me.

Monday 20th June.

Did the usual maths and English then had History which J enjoyed...cookery was Caribbean so he did some research then a worksheet on Bob Marly and he listened to some of his music on you tube and didn't realize that he sang some of the songs he likes. No golf lesson cos it was hammering down with rain. Home ed group tomorrow  looking forward to it, have missed two weeks cos we had some field trips.

18th n 19th June...Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday morning was golf lesson but it was chucking it down so it was at the range so J wasnt impressed lol but he played brilliantly. Then we went over to see my parents and brother n sister for a bit and then to my nan n granddads n saw my uncle Steve and Auntie Kath too....took some banana bread over that id made cos my nan always used to make it. Sunday was Sunday school for J then dinner  n a ton of housework so J got to chill n spend time on the Sims 3.

Friday 17th June.

Maths was a fight today he hated it and got upset. Science was all about Australia and its animals and project/ict work was all about Native Indians.....he wasn't on form today tho at all n just didn't seem able to get into 'the right mood' to learn today.

Thursday 16th June.

Short day today as he had an appointment this afternoon....he was hyper tho n struggled to stay on track cos he was wound up about this afternoon. Struggled a lot with maths today but we got thru it, history he enjoyed esp listening to Enola Gay on you-tube when we were learning about the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima lol.

Wednesday 15th June.

Had to swap today n tomorrow as tomorrow afternoon he has an appointment. Did local history/geography and went over yesterdays field trip and what had been learnt etc. Pushed my luck with maths and had him do double digit multiplications and he said he was scared of them but he did them and they were all right. English was enlightening as he had to do an autobiography and answer certain points then do a page in his book....one question was what is your first memory and it is of when he was 2 years old and the day nursery he went to cos the health visitor thought he needed it to bring him on.....he said he remembered the building and described it perfectly and described his one to one helper and then said he remembered hating it and he never wanted to stay but wanted to stay with me but cos he couldn't talk he couldn't tell me :(  He also remembered a smell from there that he associates with the theme music to Thomas the tank engine and he described it as toast, crumpets and pancakes (the type you butter) which was their snack time. Did cooking then and it was the Caribbean....Banana bread......he couldn't make much of it cos the mashed banana turned his stomach as did the squelching when mixing it all up but he loved the smell and the taste after it was cooked.

There is currently 3 slices left hahahahahaha. He went up golf then after and did really well :)

Tuesday 14th June.

Planned a field trip today as it is a tough day...its what would have been the birthday of my late Uncle Johnie so I wanted to make sure me and J kept busy. We went for a field trip to Llancaiach Fawr.....http://www.caerphilly.gov.uk/llancaiachfawr/english/home.html......well worth every penny. Printed off a big pdf document that was full of questions about the exhibition part so we did that first then went to the house....it is based in the 1600's and they dress in 1600's clothes and talk the same act the same etc and take you on a tour. Found out that children under age 12 had to stand to eat to learn humility and also sit on the floor for the same reason, learnt that the beds were so short cos they slept sitting up to keep the angel of death away, learnt the men n women sleep apart, in the servants hall J got to make a 'plague' bag.....a bag of herbs so if there was a bad smell you smell the herbs instead so as to not get the plague lol. All in all a fab day.

Monday 13th June.

Really good day today......as well as the usual English and maths did Geography and as we cooked from Latin America last week today was all about Latin America and also the Inca's and Machu Picchu then art were he used adobe to work on some of his photos from our field trip to Pontypridd last week.

Then he had a golf lesson in the evening and it went really well and he played well and even got a hole in one.....then he and two other lads played hole one n eighteen on the big course and me n the mams had such a laugh we al needed the loo in the end lol.

Sunday 12th June.

Wow what a day.....rain rain and more flippin rain.....other than Sunday school for Jordan not a lot else happened...he wanted to go to the range but it was shut so pretty lazy day lol.

Saturday 11th June.

Golf this morning and J has been buzzing since cos he played really well in the pairs championship and him and his partner won the pair competition today......needless to say he is still on a high lol.

Friday June 10th.

Last night J had a migraine so thought id make today more about relaxed learning so for maths we did a scale floor-plan of the house.....it was maths but relaxed so he didn't get at all stressed over it. Then we did Science and we always go off on a tangent in science as it is J's favorite lesson.....main bit was about sharks but did do other stuff. Then in Project/ I.T time he did a project/report on the computer, during the week we covered a topic 'J led' on 'Are dogs brainy?' so the topic for the report was 'Is Feather(our dog) Brainy?' All in all a nice relaxed day of learning.

Golf lesson tomorrow morning.

Thursday 9th June.

Did local history and geography so recapped on what was learnt on the field trip and the history of Pontypridd town. He tried everything to get out of maths......he hates it and seems almost scared of it :/

Round the world cookery today......it was Latin America.....Mexican Rice......started off looking really good n even J wanted to try it but then when all the other stuff was added we weren't so sure but let it cook. Was a bit disappointing cos id expected a bit of a kick and had hoped it would be tasty as it was free on my slimming world diet hehe but its was quite bland :/

Went to visit my nan....she is home at last and out of hospital....and grandad and my auntie Kath was there too. J had a headache there but by the time we actually got home he had a full on migraine so wasn't a happy bunny going to bed.

Wednesday 8th June.

Wasn't sure how today would pan out as J wasn't well...dizzy lightheaded and feeling sick but we did some Maths, boy does he hate all maths, and English and History then had PE.....managed to get soaked n freezing cold at golf but J did well love him.

Tuesday 7th June.

Field trip day today...... didn't quite go as planned but almost lol.....we were going to go to Pontypridd museum but its being renovated. Went to Ynysangharad park and went to see the memorial statue to Evan James and James James who wrote our Welsh national anthem then went to see the bandstand, J had some sheets with info points he had to find, on the way out we saw a cheeky squirrel. Then we went to Pontypridd's old bridge and learnt about that n why it was rebuilt 3 times and why it has 3 holes each side then we went to see the tiny bit thats left of the old Glamorgan canal. All in all a really good day even tho we got caught in the rain a few times lol.

Monday 6th June.

Had an easyish day today to ease back in to learning work...... English was some comprehension type work on a topic J had asked about.....'Are dogs brainy?'.....also looked at our dogs breed, she is Yorkie cross Jack Russel and looked at some of her traits and if she is 'brainy'. Jordan has a project to do thru the week on it aswell. Did Geography too and that was about Canada as we cooked from Canada before half term....did some comprehension and some art and some research and got more questions to research for other lessons now hehe. Went to the golf range for a bit then early evening.

Saturday 4th n Sunday 5th June.

Golf Saturday morning on the 9 hole course....the rest of them were at the Welsh open but we went in the week when it was quieter for J but to keep the routine we went up to do 9 holes. Went over to see my nan in hospital then and also my mam as it was her birthday n my grandad then on the way home. Today (Sunday) was Sunday school then he went up to do the 9 holes again but he didnt enjoy it as much today.

Thursday 2nd June n Friday 3rd June.

Thursday was a fab day......we went to watch the first day of the Welsh Open golf. We went Thursday as no 1 it meant we could all go but also no 2 as it was a lot quieter as J cant cope with lots of crowds and noise etc. Was a lovely day tho very hot so we all got burnt.....serve me right for listening to the weather man saying it would be overcast lol.

When we came home then J slept overnight at the church as they were doing a record breaking reading out loud of the bible and being as J is awake til 3am if not later without melatonin I thought he was ideal for the night time reading lol. Picked him up 10am Friday and he was 'tired' tho at 11pm tonight he was still wide awake lol.

Wednesday 1st June.

Blimey June already!!!!!!

Went up to golf today and played nine holes, he did really well he did it in 37 :) You can really see how much he has been practicing cos his scores keep getting better and better.

There wont be a blog off me tomorrow as we will be in Newport watching the Welsh Open golf then in the night J is doing a record breaking attempt at church and sleeping over night there.
